Horse Training

We offer horse tune ups and training.  Holly works with each training client to determine their individual goals and tailors a training program to meet your objectives. No one size fits all training here.  All methods are based in natural horsemanship.

Holly specializes in training the “discarded” unuseable horse.  She has experience training young horses for the A level hunter/jumper circuit, and fine tuning the experienced hunter/jumper show horse.  She has trained youngsters for open level western pleasure at AQHA Congress.  She has successfully taken horses to third level dressage and training level cross country.

Horses brought in for monthly training will be ridden 6 days per week.  Depending on the objectives horses may be ridden for an intensive hour or 2 shorter sessions per day. 

Training rates start at $400/month plus  full care board.

We do not take more than two horses in full time training at a time.  We pride ourselves on providing quality training. We do not provide a “conveyor belt” experience.

If full time training isn’t for you we also offer intensive one day trainings on site for the difficult to manage animals.

Tune up rides are individual training rides designed to focus on general exercise or a small specific issue.

Tune ups priced at $50/session

 

The final training package we offer is a “team training”.  Your horse is put into full schedule training with Holly, and then you are scheduled for two private lessons per week.  This allows not only your horse to learn and improve, but also teaches you how to encourage the correct behavior in your equine friend.  It eliminates the need for you to reestablish yourself as herd boss in your horse’s mind by maintaining your presence, and authority during the training process.  Rates start at $600/month plus full care board.
